Where it stands
Experimental development
ASKA combines road travel with vertical or short takeoff capability in a planned four-seat vehicle. Its hybrid-electric architecture is intended to extend range beyond a battery-only short-hop mission.
The company relocated to Eagle Field, California, in 2025. Its acquisition announcement reported renewed experimental authorization and approval to test at the airfield. Those permissions support development rather than general passenger service.
Research and public-safety collaborations continue. The University of Alabama in Huntsville announced a February 2026 agreement to explore work on systems including simulation, batteries and autonomous controls.
