Where it stands
Flight testing and development
ALIA VTOL uses dedicated vertical-lift propulsion plus a rear propeller for forward flight. BETA markets passenger and cargo configurations, with the same broader program also addressing charging and aircraft support.
BETA separately develops ALIA CTOL, which requires a runway. Many recent route and healthcare demonstrations use that version. Its published 336-nautical-mile demonstrated range must not be assigned to the VTOL model.
A military hybrid variant, MV250, is another distinct program. For a useful comparison, keep each version’s propulsion, mission and performance figures together rather than combining the strongest number from every ALIA announcement.
