Where it stands

Certification / industrialization

Liberty combines road transport with gyroplane flight. Its rotor folds for driving, while a separate propeller provides forward thrust in the air. It requires a takeoff run rather than hovering from a driveway.

PAL-V announced automotive manufacturing recognition in March 2026 and European aviation production approval in September. These establish production capabilities while the flight certification program continues.

The practical proposition is regional travel with a road journey at each end. Prospective owners should account for airfield access, pilot qualification and the permissions of their intended country.
