Where it stands

Reservations / production preparation

Helix is an enclosed single-seat aircraft that rotates its whole airframe during the transition between vertical and wing-supported flight. It does not have a road-driving mode.

Pivotal's current purchasing page accepts reservations and describes the production, payment and delivery process. BlackFly customer operations establish experience for the company, but should not be conflated with delivery of this newer model.

Pivotal announced AS9100D quality-system certification in January 2026. This concerns manufacturing discipline, rather than granting unrestricted flight privileges or certifying an air-taxi operation.

Availability

Reservations with advertised 2026 delivery positions; Helix handovers not independently verified

Certification & operating context

Marketed for U.S. ultralight operations; manufacturing quality certification is separate

What to watch next

Documented Helix customer handovers and operating experience distinct from BlackFly.
