Where it stands

Production prototype development

AirCar uses folding wings and a retracting tail to move between road and aircraft configurations. It belongs to the runway-based flying-car branch of the industry, rather than the hovering air-taxi category.

Its earlier prototype earned a Slovak Certificate of Airworthiness after a test program. Klein Vision subsequently unveiled a production prototype in May 2025 and announced cooperation with engine developer Adept in February 2026.

A prototype certificate and a commercial production approval answer different questions. Until the final configuration and delivery record are documented, advertised future performance should be treated as a development target.

Availability

Commercialization planned; customer deliveries not verified

Certification & operating context

Earlier prototype received Slovak airworthiness certificate in January 2022; production type approval not verified

What to watch next

Flight testing of the production configuration, its certification basis and verified first customer handovers.
